Looks like the aru might be in the middle of pulling off a coup. It appears Channel 10 is going to broadcast s14 games on free to air - they also have rights to broadcast next years ruwc. Channel 7 will keep coverage of ru tests until 2010. Deal is reported to be worth around $10 million for the aru - the current purchase price of at least 6 nrl stars!

Bad news though for those companies that make sleeping tablets.

Bad news though for those companies that make sleeping tablets. ArRe league fans going to be over-dosing on them when they see their best players making the step up to rugby? ;D

I thought you'd spot the dark cloud rus. You can sound triumphant when rl internationals are played live in the southern states instead of 11.30 at night!

Baz,
the Channel 10 deal is not a done deal yet. All it is providing is a replay 18 hours after the game.
Rumours flying around that the money involved could be as little as $2.8 million BTW.
I thought Channel 9 were in the bidding for the WC rights. What happened to them?
