At a meeting of all RL districts this weekend the NZRL were forced to backtrack on some of their damaging recent changes to the structure of RL throughout NZ. The arbitary decision to scrap the Bartercard Cup (done without consultation or support of the district leagues) was reversed when a pool structure of provincial games was decided upon; Pool A Auckland Christchurch Wellington Manawatu Pool B all other North Island Leagues Pool C all other South Island Leagues This way the existing Orcas/Bulls/Jets.....etc do not have to disband/restructure Now if all the development officers made redundant to pay for Lowe's/Kemp's/Bell's salaries can be reinstated then we may get somewhere
