Just thought I'd post this to see if you're checking the board Kel + see how Barrett's going?

Don't know about Kelvin Baz, but Barrett's now finding his feet in UK League. He had a calf injury first up (training on wet English pitches no doubt), but after 6 games or so he and Wigan are ticking along, but the team in general are inconsistent. Trent has expressed his desire to get to the Challenge cup Final at the new Wembley and judging by his performance away at Leeds , then he'll get Wigan there before anyone else. He's a great stand-off and has all the skills and size. He plays like a classic UK loose forward. If he carries on in the same vein he'll be up there as player of the season, though sometimes by the reports, when Wigan don't perform Barrett tends to hide a bit. Was that the case a St George?

No, can't say he ever did that with the Dragons. I'm still mystified why they let him go. I suspect problems between himself & the Dragons under performing coach, Nathan Brown. He does play standoff rather like a lock at times. I don't know what the situation is like in the uK but there is an almost breathtaking lack of standoffs here at the moment. Looks like Kel might have given the board way which is a pity.

Just thought I'd post this to see if you're checking the board Kel + see how Barrett's going? I'm back! On his day Trent is the best player in super league. Sadly, given Wigans up and down form and off field problems, "his days" are few and far between. Would walk into any side over here though.

Barretts been the best player in Super League this year and Wigan wouldn't be playing this weekend without him. A certainty for Man of Steel.

His form is a bit up and down for me but that reflects Wigans season as a whole. I agree about Man of Steel, certainly a more deserving winner than that carthorse who plays full back for Saints!
