Anyone know the crowds for the 1st round of matches?
I know there were just over 8000 at Harlequins - that name is wrong on so many levels - and 11000 at Catalan. What about the others?

Wigan had their highest ever 1st home game attendance since Super League began on Friday. About 17,200 and it didn't seem that there was too many from Leeds. Excellent attendance, hope it keeps up.

In GB RL has to compete with football. Also the biggest football teams in Britain are located in the RL heartlands!

Union in OZ have played all their marquee matches in the first round. Unless the Waratahs play the Brumbies at home this year they won't get any bigger crowds in the home & away season (in my view). BTW Baz this site says the capacity of Bruce stadium is 28,753. www.austadiums.com/stadiums/stadiums.php?id=28What sort of SKY TV figures did the ESL in the first few weeks?

Always looking on the bright side rus eh? No rus, this was the crowd to a Brumbies vs Crusaders game in 2004 I think. The figures given on the site indicate a crowd capacity slightly below this figure, but seem to date from around 2000. Maybe there has been some remodelling since that time that has increased capacity. hat is the Raiders home crowd record?

Its the 11th season of Super League and the 1st 2 rounds of this season have posted further records. 65,634 spectators attended in round 1 66,530 spectators in round 2. Total 132,164 for the 2 weeks, beating the previous record for the first 2 weeks of 123,048 from 2005 by 9,116 or 7.4% None of the potential highest crowd games have been played (eg Leeds v Bradford or Saints v Wigan) and Leeds' capacity is restricted to 16,600 whereas their average last season was over 17,000

Well done Rusty. How about you add the crowds for the Stormers-NSW and ACT-Bulls match.
But anyway Russ what was the aggregate for the NRL in the first week of the S14 comp?
And the two weeks before that when the S14 teams were playing trials? What was the NRL aggregate then?

Well done Rusty. How about you add the crowds for the Stormers-NSW and ACT-Bulls match. (1)Not played in OZ. I was making a snide reference to the fact that union has to go overseas to get decent competition or they would just be playing each other over & over. (2)None played, so the Crowd was zero. See (2) above. Thomas, we can keep this going all season if you like. Aggregate NRL crowds for last season 3.6 million v union of .77 million. (The Australian Stadiums site includes trial games.)

Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't super14 sides representative, rather than traditional club teams?
