I am still here Baz. Whats has happened in your neck of the woods? Not a lot. Been getting heavily into panoramic photography which is chewing up significant time. On holidays at the moment with 1 week to go (!). Looking forward to another unsuccessful season with the Dragons - when will they sack that coach!? Looks like I may well have one boy playing ru next season & one playing rl rus. A divided house! Unfortunately it will make watching them both play hard at times. Apart from all of that I enjoyed enormously the change of gov't, even if it did mean having a Queenslander occupying the highest office in the land!!

I'm still here.
Moved house 6 months ago but the internet has been very poor. Hopefully this is now fixed - hence my response!
Fell off bike just before Xmas and smashed shoulder - not played hockey since - no movement in it at all. Looks like I'll be out till the middle of Feb at the earliest.
Not long to the new season now!

Baz
Good to see that St George supporter given the arse.
The Equine Influenza (EI) has played havoc with my aspirations of becoming another Robert Sangster. Our little champion has been retired - he will become a hack for a woman who has a property at Beaudesert. He won 3 races, the highlight being a Class 1 at Ipswich.
Got an MP3 player (the Windows variety not an Ipod) for X-Mass - couldn't live without it now.

Hi all,
still looking in here.
Very interested to see the new S14 with the SBosch. rules to see how League like the game becomes.
Is it the full SBosch. rules which will be used, or a subset Baz?
regards

Finally a new thread. I went on here from time to time and nothing was happening so I thought that the site had died a death.
I'm looking forward to the new Super League season which starts on Saturday week, with the opening game being Leeds v Hull KR which has been brought forward due to the World Club Challenge..
I'm quite confident about our chances this season and a midtable finish would be progress after last year. We do only have one pre season game though which is this weekend, not ideal when there are 11 new players that have been brought in, so we could well have a slow start.

Hi all, still looking in here. Very interested to see the new S14 with the SBosch. rules to see how League like the game becomes. Is it the full SBosch. rules which will be used, or a subset Baz? regards These are the Stellenbosch rules that will operate in the S14: Experimental Law Variations to be applied in the 2008 Super 14: 1. Posts and flags around the field (ARC variation) a. Corner posts will be positioned at the outside junction of the goal line and the touch-line. i. If a player is in possession of the ball and touches a corner post he will not be in touch unless he touches the touchline or the ground beyond the touchline. ii. If the ball is not being carried by a player and it touches the corner post the ball will be deemed to be touch in goal. Inside the 22-metre line 2. When a defending player receives the ball outside the 22 metre line and passes, puts or takes the ball back inside the 22, the following can occur: a. If the ball is then kicked directly into touch, the lineout is in line with where the ball was kicked. b. If a tackle, ruck or maul is subsequently formed and the ball is then kicked directly into touch, the lineout is where the ball crossed the touch line. Lineout 3. On a quick throw in, the ball can be thrown straight or backwards towards the defenders goal-line, but not forward towards the opposition goal line. Breakdown (tackle/post tackle) 4. Players entering the breakdown area must do so through the gate. 5. Immediately the tackle occurs there are offside lines. 6. The halfback should not be touched unless he has his hands on the ball. Scrum 7. The offside line for players who are not in the scrum and who are not the teams scrum half, is 5 metres behind the hindmost foot of the scrum. Sanctions 8. For all offences other than offside, not entering through the gate, and Law 10-foul play, the sanction is a free-kick.

Good to see that St George supporter given the arse. Always good to see the Liberals lose an election rus. Howard losing was the sweetest win of all I think.

Bump
Keep it going guys.
My local (a Woolworths's pub) has cancelled the Karoke because of secutity issues on Saturday night. Now the place is dead at about 9 pm.
Can't wait for the footy to start
