Peter Sterling in what I thought were rather arrogant terms predicted Schifcofske would become a wallaby on tele the other nght at the end of the bulldogs Canberra game. The question is does he have the talent? Would he displace tuquiri, rathbone rogers, latham or gerard? The answer should be interesting. Somehow I think he doesn't have the talent, which I suppose almost guarantees him selection. I mean, he wouldn't play first grade with the dragons.

Given that it does not look like Rogers(definately) or Tuquiri(probabl y) will not be there for the 2008 season, maybe he will have to wait until then.

The thing that must be a killer for wallaby players is the travelling. Are they ever at home. The same goes for the boks & abs.

I think he would have easily played first grade at the Dragons - Baz. He has played SOO & Bob Fulton has said it was one of the injustices of the sporting world that he never played for Australia in RL.
I would rate him higher than Latham at his peak. Latham has probably got a better or longer kick in general play. Having said that Latham seems to have improved -- he was only good against weak sides once.
I have abiding memories of how second rate he looked against O'Driscoll & Jason Robinson in the first Test played in Brisbane on the 2001 British lions RU Tour.

I think he would have easily played first grade at the Dragons - Baz. I would'nt trade any of the Dragons back three for him, well (grudgingly) he might get a run at fb. At rl perhaps, but not necessarily ru - the proof will be in the pudding I guess there. I think Latham's improved out of sight. I used to rate him a shocker. In fact I don't know how he displaced Matthew Burke in his (Latham's) younger days. Must have got the qld selection vote!
