Think someones maths need checking - The NL1 clubs attendances for the season just finished excluding Cup and Play off games totalled 348,714 That's interesting as that means the average crowd for the 18 NL1 games would be 19,373 which correct me if I am wrong, is better than the SL? Have the NL1 clubs been borrowing the rugby caclulator? ;D

Oh dear......
10 teams play 18 games EACH, i.e 180 games in total
Average around 1937 per game. Highest ave - Cas approx 5500, lowest I think was Batley around 900-1000
No union calculator at work, Rugby League stands or falls by recording its attendances correctly.

Fair point, I shall now try turning my brain on. Rus quoted an average figure of 1500 per game, now you are suggesting it is 1937 per games, does anybody have a different number or are we going to stick with two? Only an overall difference of around 80,000! What was it you said.... Rugby League stands or falls by recording its attendances correctly. ;D

I think that Rus's post was meant to say that it would take a theoretical attendance of approx 1500 average in NL1 to equal the England internationals attendances. Rus, if that wasn't your point then let me know how you got to 1500 average.
Clive still no evidence of the Super League attendance of 1106 at Leigh.........?

Still doesn't add up using Rus 'theoretical' figure of an average of 1500: 180 x 1500=270,000 is not close to the 6 x 70,000 = 420,000 he quoted for RU. Normally Rus tries to provide links to support his claims no matter how bizzare they are. Funny how he has gone quiet now. Did you not detect the sarcasm when I mentioned Leigh's average crowd? ;D

These aussies always assume we play too many game sin the UK! ahh.....I see its a sarcastic post now some actual figures for Leighs attendances have been posted. How does the total RL Super League attendances (just short of 1.5m) compare to the last full RU season?

It is true I did assume the season would last 26 weeks. How long does the union season last for the top divisions in England? NRL crowds for the year (home & away games) were attended by an audience of just under 3 million-up about 12%. Super 12 RU games were attended by 392,057 spectators in Australia this season-down by about 62,000from last season. www.austadiums.com/sport/sport.php?sid=5Of interest I note there has been a catastropic drop off in crowds to the NZ NPC (a RU competition). So England RU is not alone as other RU competitions around the world (actually there is only four RU countries that count (sic) crowds) see their crowds slump.

How many teams are there in the NL1?
There were 19 in the Northern Ford Premiership a few years ago.

Two reasons: i. The size of rl internationally. ii. The winner would be known before it began. Maybe in 2035 rus. Wrong Baz;
